Otley, like so many other Yorkshire towns, is a classic market town. Otley is a great place for the quirky shopper. There is a farmers market every month with some of the best local produce you will find for miles, and three times a week you will find the street market in the main square with a huge variety of produce and produce. In addition to the markets there is also a range of supermarkets, grocery stores and classic butchers.

If you’re a TV buff, you’ll recognize many of Otley’s streets and pubs. Heartbeat, Emmerdale and The chasing They are among some of the shows that have been filmed here due to their uniqueness and wonderful views. Walking around the city is a real treat, but this can add something extra special if you know what you are looking for.

This is one of the only cities in the country that still has a bellhop roaming the streets announcing the latest news and events for all to hear. It’s a surreal experience to walk down the cobbled streets and hear the distant echo of a doorbell followed by a casually dressed guy yelling the news. This river runs through the heart of the city and is one of the most beautiful riverside walks you’ll ever take. There are many places along the way to stop and enjoy a picnic, with wide riverbanks and secluded green areas. Along the river you will find the spectacular Riverside Park, followed by extensive wooded areas and Chevin Forest Park. This park is elevated and offers some of the most wonderful views of the city and its surroundings. If you want a good day full of energy, you can consider walking along the city along the river and enjoying the inspiring view at the end.
