Why are RCFE’s continuing education classes so important?

An RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Aged) certification is a highly sought after designation. The RCFE is a California requirement to operate a board and care facility. Senior care workers at these locations must be certified. Those who manage them will have to be, too. The manager certification is called RCFE Manager Certification.

Due to rule changes and new case law, in addition to making sure everyone in the industry knows and follows the rules, some continuing education from RCFE is recommended. It is also required by the State of California. So exactly how much RCFE continuing education is required now?

Currently, RCFE’s continuing education or continuing education requirements are 40 hours of “passed” classes every two years.
