What is the definition of physical health, and does good health naturally mean that everything natural is good?

Let’s start with a good definition of health in general. The definition of health from the WHO (World Health Organization), although from 1948: “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not simply the absence of disease or illness.” Assuming that’s true, what is the definition of physical health, and does good health naturally mean that “all natural” is good, especially when it comes to food?

What is the definition of physical health?

There is one

Based on the WHO definition of health that applies to physical health, is it safe to say that simply because everything works as it should in the absence of illness or disease (weakness or disease), we are not necessarily in good physical health? ?

What you think?

Personally, I think it is more important to be healthy in the moment. On the other hand, I also believe that since we are only guaranteed the present, if you are healthy, do not take it for granted. Enjoy it while you can.

I also believe that the state of our physical health is highly dependent on our personal health plan. In other words, it depends on how well we take care of ourselves on a regular basis. That includes:

  • Eat clothes

  • Exercise habits or lack thereof

  • Sleepwear

  • Spiritual clothing

  • General life clothing

Without appearing to be a pundit, expert, or fan of any of the above, that I personally am the definition of physical health, the definition of spiritual health, or anything that comes close to the definition of good health, simply put, what what I am saying is that all points influence our physical health.

What you think?

It’s about good health

A dictionary provides this definition of health:

“The general state of the body or mind with reference to solidity and vigor: good health; poor health. “

The ancient Roman poet Virgil said: “The greatest wealth is health.”

I couldn’t agree more, but I am a little concerned about the amount of emphasis that is put on physical health, as if it were mutually exclusive of the other aspects of health.

I think health is about:

  • Physical

  • Mental

  • Emotional

  • Spiritual

  • Financial

The “strength and vigor” with which we pursue and maintain these factors has a direct and indirect effect on each and every factor.

Also, I am concerned that the word wealth is so associated with money and financial wealth.

It’s not to say that you don’t see the importance of physical health and financial wealth. Both are key components of overall health, but they are not independent concepts.

What are your thoughts?

Everything natural

The “all natural” phenomenon, especially when it comes to food, is one of the greatest marketing ploys in history. If it’s not a scam, it’s a joke.

It does not mean anything!

There is a BIG difference between organic and natural. Don’t confuse the two and, of course, don’t be fooled by the propaganda that leads you to believe they are the same. They are not.

Organic, at least when it comes to food, is highly regulated. Actually, it means something. However, keep in mind that just because it’s organic doesn’t necessarily mean it’s healthy.

All natural can mean practically anything. When it comes to the food we eat, it is not regulated. It is a very misleading label.

Do not be fooled.

I’m not saying you don’t enjoy it. I’m not saying that everything natural is bad. I am simply saying that it is a more superfluous term than ever. It has no depth.

My formula

For me it all comes down to a few simple concepts and principles that start with:

  • Honesty

  • Respect

  • Best effort

These are essential. They cost nothing and must be applied at all times.

Below are the 5 F’s:

  • Food: not just what we eat, but everything we consume physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. If we are what we eat, this says it all.

  • Fitness: includes the 5 points mentioned above

  • Finance: is affected by the previous two and affects the previous two and the next two.

  • Compliance: it is about completeness and includes all the points mentioned.

  • Fun: the importance of how it affects health and how it is affected is often overlooked

I have labeled the 5 Fs as the components of a bulletproof life.

In short, all of the above is important, but the right balance is the key. I think a lot of us are just out of balance. Also, there is no one-size-fits-all balancing act.

Last but not least from the late great Redd Foxx:

“Health nuts are going to feel stupid one day, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.”
