Strategy Game Tips: 6 Tips for Playing Strategy Games

There are so many strategy games both online and for game consoles. In today’s games, there is no need to set the settings for strategy games for half an hour, since the programmers have already figured out what the player really needs and have already been programmed into the game.

Most of the strategy games I played required a lot of planning and speed to play strategy games well. These games can be those defense games where you need to build towers in strategic areas or points to fight an invasion effectively or if you are that type of offensive player, you can be the one who builds units to crush the defense of the computer.

There is a saying: “Attack is my defense, defense is my attack.” It really depends on how you want to play it.

6 Simple Strategy Techniques for Playing Strategy Games

1) Know in depth the different types of units or races in the game. Normally it will not be more than 10.

2) Follow the basic rules of the strategy game. Some basic strategies are: Using the melee combatants up front on the front lines as “meat shields” while the ranged soldiers position themselves behind the melee combatants to support them.

3) When you have earned enough money, plan some of it to upgrade your soldiers, towers, etc. Normally, at the beginning of the game, it can be quite difficult to plan, but plan your own strategy.

4) Pick up some air units to support your ground troops. It is a must! Next, get a good siege weapon to destroy buildings more efficiently and quickly. Siege weapons are a double edged sword where they can also be used for base defense. By understanding what does what, you’ll be in a better position to implement them really well and avoid stupid mistakes.

5) Also pay attention to the empowered attacks. It is usually in the form of an artillery strike with a large number of ground troops charging at you, distracting you and using the siege weapons clearing your base buildings. Use your air units to flank siege weapons, counterattack them, and surprise your enemy.

6) The last piece of advice is to make sure you don’t save money that you don’t need. This is a common mistake that new players make. It doesn’t make sense to save so much money in the game and lose in the end and not prove anything. But if you’re going to build something massive or grand, just do it. Strike a good balance between having some savings for defense when needed. You will have to learn this in regards to each specific game.
