There are many do’s and don’ts when you have a cat or any pet. Cats bear no similarity to dogs and tend to show a bit more attitude (or personality). Use pet food, not human food

Don’t make the mistake of trying to feed kittens any kind of human baby cereal. Most human baby cereals are “grain” based, and in the wild, kittens are weaned on raw meat (meaning the mothers will bring fresh prey back to the nest for the kittens). So the kittens don’t really know what to do. do with that porridge that smells all bad. NO, I am not suggesting that you try to feed kittens raw meat, my point is that cats are carnivores and their food should be meat based, not grain based. So feed your kitty healthy cat food.

Neuter your male cat

You’ll be surprised how many people refuse to neuter their male cats for various reasons, but they’ll soon change their minds, and that’s mainly because it calms down their cat. It is preferable to sterilize your male cat around the sixth or seventh month of life; It’s not too late to modify your adult male cat. Behaviors like fighting, urine spraying, and wandering will be dramatically reduced. Neutering should only be performed by a veterinarian and requires general anesthesia. I can’t lie: there’s a lot of negative press detailing the horrors of declawing your cat. I know some of that press comes from bad experiences with less qualified people performing the surgery. In my personal opinion, I recommend not declawing your cat. If you are worried that it will scratch your furniture or your expensive curtains, you can train it. If you’re going to, don’t take second place with your own health or the health of your children; Don’t settle for second best with the quality of your vet. Ask questions.

Be careful with the plants you have in your house, they can become very bad health problems for your cat. Cats often like to lick or chew on houseplants, and not all houseplants are okay to chew. Call your local animal shelter/kennel, humane society, ASPCA, or rescue organization. They have lists of low-cost vets in your area and can even help pay vet bills in some cases.
