Magic Crisp Microwave Tray

We went out for pizza with some friends last weekend and of course we had half of our pizza left over. For lunch the next day I heated up leftover pizza in the microwave using the Magic Crisp pan. What a difference it makes! It used to come out limp and didn’t cook evenly. With Magic Crisp it was crispy on the bottom and evenly cooked on top. I’ve tried reheating the pizza on the stove top, with mixed success (sometimes I burned the bottom before heating the top). This is much better.

Use Magic Crisp to:

Pizza
Bacon
Fish sticks
Rolls (crispy on the outside, tender on the inside)
quesadillas
Chicken strips
fries and onion rings

How does it work

The Magic Crisp Microwavable Pan has ridges that food sits on. This allows air to circulate under and around the food to give it the crispness that was missing from microwaved food. The ridges are taller than previously sold trays so it really does what it claims to do. And the tray’s raised rim is also higher, so you don’t have to worry about bacon or other grease spilling out in the microwave or on the way to the sink.

The higher ridges prevent moisture from collecting under the food, which is another reason Magic Crisp works so well. I learned a long time ago not to reheat rolls in the microwave; it used to ruin the texture, making them too hard and chewy or rock hard. My husband and I love muffins and homemade jam, but sometimes when I’m making dinner I don’t think about the muffins in time to heat them up in the oven. Now we can have warm, tender and crispy rolls whenever we want. This could be a bad thing for our weight, but at our age we don’t care that much.

With the grandkids around I end up babysitting a lot, I have used the Magic Crisp several times for their favorites: quesadillas and chicken tenders. They come out just like they do when we eat out. Since little ones don’t always like what adults eat for dinner, it’s nice to pick up the strips or quesadillas or fish sticks while I’m out earlier in the day, then reheat them at the last minute as I’m warming up. . adult food on the table.
