Can Facebook friends be converted into leads and leads?

People are on the Internet looking for ways to earn money, connecting with friends from the past, checking their emails and looking for all kinds of information. Everyone has heard of the technological boom that has come to us in the form of the personal computer and, since that inception, a little invention called the World Wide Web, or what most of us simply call the “www” or “web.” . Because most people use the web to search for information, the number 1 website in the world is Google. The amazing thing is that when you go to Google, there is nothing but the word Google and a box to enter your query. That’s all. No ads, no releases, just a box to enter your query.

Why do you think it is the number one site on the web? Maybe it’s because it’s the site most people trust for reliable information. Information is the age we are currently in. We had the industrial age where all the buildings and construction took place and now we are in the information age. People sell and people buy information. Because? People pay for information because knowledge is power, but applied knowledge is powerful. Sometimes we can’t get answers from those we know personally, but over a network it can be easier to get the information we need.

This brings me to the #2 website in the world, Facebook. If you didn’t know, more than 350 million people log into Facebook every month. As of February 2010, in an interview with Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, we learned that 175 million people log into Facebook every day, and those numbers will only increase. Most people on Facebook are just there to reconnect with old friends and stay connected with current ones who live in different regions of the world and it’s a very handy tool. I personally have welcomed Facebook into my daily schedule and keep in touch with friends and associates. “Associates”? What could he mean by “associates”?

I’m not sure if you’re aware of this fact or not, but people really do list their businesses on Facebook. Now I know that none of you who have Facebook have ever seen a feed on your page with someone talking about your business opportunity on your page, right? It’s just me right? Seriously though, some of these people who have added you or have added you just want you to join their network marketing company as soon as the application is accepted. Now I know it’s not you. What you are really doing is looking for a way to introduce your business to people without coming across as pushy or even like a salesperson. How do you do this?

Let me give you the secret to turning Facebook friends into leads and business partners using Facebook marketing. The key to conversion comes in one word, “conversation.” If you want to work with people within the industry and want their attention, they need to know that you care about them as a friend and as a business partner. They may have no interest in the network marketing industry or they may be new to the industry or a seasoned veteran. Regardless of the company a person is affiliated with, it does not mean that they will be successful with that company. They may have a burning desire for the industry, but they’re not having much success. They may still be calling your warm market, have already gone through your list, or are having trouble building a contact list. You will never know these things unless you start a conversation with them. Everyone has heard the saying, “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

Show interest in your Facebook contacts. Here’s the second nugget for you when building your network on Facebook, start conversations with people in MLM Facebook groups. Most of the people within these groups have no idea how to market on the internet. If you visited most of their pages, you’ll find a similar pattern, they’ll all either direct to their main business website or tell you to start with just $10 or $25 and make thousands of dollars a month without sponsoring or building a downline. How many of you have clicked on these links? Not many. Because? No value is transferred to the reader that will make them interested. So what are those in the MLM industry looking for?

Most of those on Facebook are looking for the tools needed to become successful internet marketers and the strategies it takes to succeed. Without these tools, they are running around under the assumption that internet marketing either doesn’t work or is reserved only for an elite. The fact is, with the right system, training, and leadership, succeeding with Facebook marketing can be an exciting and fulfilling experience.
