Acer Aspire Revo Mini Desktop: An Honest Review

What it is: The Acer Aspire Revo is a mini desktop model designed for watching videos and performing light computing tasks. It’s what many techies call a ‘nettop’. It’s an extremely compact small desktop computer (1.2 x 7.1 x 7.1 inches, 9 pounds) that can easily disappear from view in your home theater or workspace. It has a 1.6Ghz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM and 160GB of storage. It has an HMDI port, 6 USB ports and an NVIDIA ION LE graphics processor.

What is it for?: The Acer Aspire Revo is designed for light computing tasks like checking email, watching videos, browsing the web, and other simple tasks. It works with Windows XP and ships with a keyboard and mouse. As well as serving as a competent casual desktop model, it would also serve as an entertainment device for viewing online content and other digital media. Simply connect it to an HDTV and you can use the mini desktop to view a variety of online and digital content.

It’s worth it?:Currently, Acer Aspire Revo is one of the most affordable desktops on the market. It retails for around $199 each, giving it great value for money. Thanks to its low price, it’s pretty hard to find fault with this nifty little desktop model. It has a nice design and a great set of features, making it a great buy for anyone looking for a simple mini desktop model for occasional use.
