A comparison of optimal EFT with practical or distance healing

Optimal EFT is very similar to Reiki, and especially to the Seichem, Tera-Mai, and Karuna varieties (there are about 150 varieties today). Optimal EFT is such a simple refinement, and while not always suitable, it is a true gem in most cases where a client wants more specific help from a Reiki or Spiritual Healing session. People have been comparing Gary Craig’s latest offering to practical and distance healing, and this article explains the differences and refinements with the healing arts closest to this new method.

With most Reiki and certainly with Spiritual Healing, you should not direct the energy to anything specific. They allow healing for the Highest Good to go where it is most needed. You may intend for this energy to be directed to a specific topic, but that is all you can do. With optimal EFT, you direct the energy very specifically to the exact problem. Being general is a no-no. For example, if the problem is knee pain, specify where the knee pain is and rate the discomfort level from 10 to 0, with 10 being the worst and 0 being neutral. Keep going until you get a zero. If the problem is your mother, you get very specific and find an incident, a separate real event that happened, for example, “when I was 4 years old and my mother threw away my book.” Again, rate the distress level of that memory from 10 to 0, with 10 being the worst and 0 being neutral. Keep going until you get a zero.

With Reiki, we invite the Reiki energy to do the healing. With Optimal EFT, this is called “The Invisible Therapist.”

With Seichem Reiki, any resistance to healing on the part of the client is released by literally taking the block of energy in the hands and throwing it into the violet flame. The use of symbols is used to release any resistance or preconceptions on the part of the healer. With Optimal EFT, this is released by negotiating with “The Guard at The Gate” to open the door to healing.

You may want to try Optimal EFT, especially if you are already a spiritual or reiki healer. Then you can compare the two for yourself and see what feels good. Yes, it is necessary to be an observer and let Reiki not go where it is most needed. But there is also a great need to direct the energy with knowledge of how to do EFT. This combination is dynamite, in my opinion. If you are interested in Optimal EFT, you can find the full instructions on the founders (Gary Craig) site which is currently offered free of charge. If you are interested in learning Reiki, just Google the “Reiki course” and your area, and call up some Master Teachers, chat with them, and decide which one is right for you.
